Mindset Monday - Blessed to be Stressed
“Remember how far you have come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be” – Rick Warren
We are often incredibly hard on ourselves and when days are tough, we rarely take a moment to think back on the road that got us where we are. We never think about what had to go right to get here. We completely lose sight of all the wins that got us to this very point. To the point where we are blessed to be stressed. Stress means people depend on us, we have goals, we have standards. This isn’t to dimmish your problems if you have them, but we should encourage each other to take stock of how we arrived at this point before we dwell on where we wish we were. Your current situation is a culmination of wins stacked on top of each other. Make it a habit for this to be your first thought after a tough day / week. There are billions of other existences that we could be living that are worse than anything the market, the economy, or rates can throw at us.
We had to be a previous version of ourselves to get to where we are. We had to hit those previous milestones. Each one taking immense amounts of hard work and dedication to become, and then surpass. You had to pass the test, close the first loan, get our first referral partner, have our first million dollar month (or 10M). Actively take a moment to think about those things and use it as fuel for the fire for the next set of goals. Don’t be satisfied by it, but let it renew the energy you attack the next level with. The drive to do the hard work required to reach your next version of success.
Be mindful how you treat yourself and help others around you do the same. Seek perspective this week and refocus on those goals!
